Central
Expedition: an exciting new Sunday School experience
The
goal of Rotation Model Sunday School is to teach biblical stories and
concepts through child-friendly, multimedia workshops.
This model is based on the theory that all children learn differently
and that children learn through repetition.
The Rotational Learning model helps children learn about Bible
stories through a variety of experiences.
The
four rotation areas include the Temple, the Marketplace, the Colosseum, and
the Scribes and Scrolls Room.
In
the Temple children sit in a tent and hear a storyteller relate the Bible
story. The children experience
the lesson through games, book searches, maps, and related projects. In the
second area, the Marketplace, the children have an opportunity to work on a
practical project based on the Bible lesson.
Arts and crafts projects take place here
The
third area is the Colosseum where the children write and act out plays
depicting the Bible story. They
perform a puppet show or watch a video about the story. Children
find ways to memorize scripture with simple hands-on projects and computer
Bible games in the Scribes and Scrolls Room.
In this fourth area they also have the opportunity to use computer
software to take Bible quizzes and more.
