Central Celebration
The Central Celebration Fundraiser is an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of Central UMC, the magnificent quality of our music, and the friendliness of our congregation all while raising funds for an important cause. The event will be held on Sunday evening, October 6th. It includes a dinner, silent auction, and concert by Central's Chancel Choir. The goal for the fundraiser is to raise additional funds for Central's upcoming building project to bring ADA handicap access to the sanctuary for the first time in the over 100 years of the current facility.
The celebration will begin at 5:00 PM with a catered dinner and silent auction in the Central UMC fellowship hall. This will be followed by a spectacular concert by Central's Chancel Choir in the sanctuary at 7:00 PM, led by Keith Jones, and including performances by some of Central's soloists and organist, Brian Dailey. The price for the dinner, silent auction, and concert is $50 per person. Tables of 6 where sponsors may invite guests are available for $600. Guests and members of the community are welcome. For those who would like to attend only the concert, there will be no charge, but there will be a love offering during the performance. In addition, we hope to have CD’s and MP3’s of the choir’s recently recorded music available for sale during the evening. The choir will donate all funds over their production costs to the building fund. |
