Preschool Class

 

 

 

 

 

Central Expedition

 

Children in elementary school  are divided  into two groups, K-grade 3 and grades 4 & 5. The two groups rotate through four class rooms. Lessons change every month.

 

 

 

 

Youth

 

This class uses the Student Life curriculum that helps the youth understand biblical topics through activities, drama, and discussion.  Grades 6-12  Facilitator: Student Youth Coordinator.

 

 

 

 

 


Adult Sunday School Classes

Young Adult

(Church Library in Fellowship Hall)

This class is designed for young adults and college students.  Lessons explore a variety of topics including contemporary social issues, spirituality, theology, spiritual disciplines, and scripture.  The goal of this class is to deepen faith, expand hearts, and stretch minds.

 

 

Norton Class

(Room 210)

This class uses a Bible study based on United Methodist lectionary texts. This group enjoys the focused lessons as well as singing hymns during their Sunday school sessions.

         Garrett Class          This class will have discussions on timely subjects led by different speakers.

Shepard Class

(Room 212)

This class is comprised of a group of middle-aged couples and singles. Sunday school is designed around a traditional instructor-led format with rotating teachers from the congregation and Spartanburg community. Class lessons and discussions revolve around a variety of topics and issues affecting the modern Christian church and their impact on the lives of class members.

 

         

Upper Room Class

(Room 213)

The program committee researches and explores topics of interest to class members. Speakers or facilitators include members of the class as well as guest speakers. Topics include Bible study, theology, social issues, and spiritual growth.  Other committees minister to the sick and bereaved, help with SPIHN, and plan socials. Officers and committees serve from September to August.
